Dr Derek Redmond OLY. is remembered for one of the most moving scenes in Olympic history. A European and World Champion, he won four British AAA 400m titles and broke the British record twice. He claimed World Championship Gold in 1991 in the 4 x 400m relay alongside Roger Black, John Regis and Kriss Akabusi. After retiring, he built a varied career across sport, media and business, from professional basketball for Birmingham Bullets and the England national team, to senior roles as the Director of Development for Sprint & Hurdles for UK Athletics and Group Performance Director of Thomas International.
