Derek Redmond has recently had another article published in the world’s only weekly athletics magazine, Athletics Weekly.
The 11th October saw the annual Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon take place. The run was set up in 2008 and since has been a great success, raising in excess of £25 million for more than 650 charities.
As you’re more than likely aware, the 1992 Olympic 400m semi-final in Barcelona was a moment that defined Derek as a man. His refusal to succumb to a severe hamstring injury saw him stubbornly complete the race in agony with the help of his father.
With a host of fantastic anecdotes from his time as one of the country¹s leading athletes, Derek has inspired countless audiences as a motivational speaker.
